Jascots launches same day Saturday delivery service

On-trade supplier Jascots is launching a same day free delivery service on Saturdays for its London customers.
The firm took the decision following demand from customers who did not have the space to carry extra stock and the service will kick off this weekend. Jascots claims it is the first on-trade supplier to offer a same day Saturday free service.
"Restaurants and bars know that storage space is dead space," said managing director John Charnock. "In an ideal world deliveries should be just enough just in time."
Provided a customer puts in an order by midday on Saturday they will be guaranteed to receive it that afternoon, while orders placed by 4pm on a Friday will receive theirs before midday on Saturday.
Brian Martin, general manager at Somerset House, said: "Fridays can be crazy at Tom's Terrace so Jascots Saturday delivery service has saved our bacon on several occasions over the last 10 months.
"They will really be going the extra mile with this Saturday same day delivery capability. It is just what we need as our business is so weather dependent it is impossible to predict how much wine we will use on any one day. It will also be great for cash flow."
Jascot's offices will be open from 8am - 12pm on a Saturday morning.
