Bolfan, Croatia
An excellent pair of white wines from this Croatian producer.
The first, Bolfan Libertin Pinot Sivi 2010 (elsewhere known as Pinot Gris), opens with some waxy stone-fruit ripeness, with this carrying through to the full and fleshy palate.
Similarly, the Primus Riesling 2010 in the same ranye leans towards a fuller, riper style, with a slight honeyed note alongside some minerality. Acidity builds slowly on the palate, with great nectarine character. CC
