Jascot’s Environmental Policy

Established in 1990, Jascots is a wine and drinks merchants based in West London. We specialise in importing superb, Estate-bottled wines from small producers worldwide. We distribute wines to customers throughout London and the UK.

Jascots is driven by a young dynamic team, who recognise that their work has an environmental impact resulting from resource consumption, transport, purchasing and waste production. As a consequence of this, the management are committed to continuous improvements in environmental performance and Jascots is currently working towards obtaining a Green Mark Award for environmental good practice.

Jascot’s main aims are

• To meet and, where practical, exceed all relevant regulatory requirements

• to prevent pollution and minimise any adverse environmental effects caused as a result of our activities or products

• To promote environmental awareness throughout the organisation and provide training to ensure that all staff understand their environmental responsibilities

• To manage our waste sustainably and recognise our responsibilities to recycle materials wherever possible

• To use resources efficiently in all of our activities

We are currently working towards the following specific objectives:

1. To generate 80% of our energy requirements on site by August 2008

2. To reduce our vehicle fuel consumption by 10% by August 2008

3. To reduce energy consumption by 10% by August 2008
