There was cause for celebration in North West London yesterday morning when a small plot of vines approximately 3 hectares (7.5 acres) became the first internationally recognised Appellation for fine wine in London.The South East facing slope between Willesden Junction and Wormwood Scrubs was granted A.C. status by The International Terroirs Society (TITS) after an application was submitted by owner Jack Scott in August of 2008.“It has been a long road and there have been many ups and downs but for our vineyard to be the first A.C. in London is a great honour that makes it all worthwhile”.
