I’m really not sure who won the day here, The Chav or The Charrons, but I tasted both on Monday with Mr. Round MW and they were just delish!

Having bought and just LOVED Philippe Chavy’s white Burgs in almost every vintage since 1998, I can’t big his wines up enough, but, strong competition has arrived in the wines of Christiane and ‘Les Boys’ at Bachey~Legros. They are new to us and are not well known in England, but, they make such sensational wines that they will be – believe me! Mr. Round, MW, is so smitten by Bachey~Legros that he’s quite cross he didn’t discover the Domaine himself ….. there’ll be others, I know!
