The evening starts with a glass of bubbles and moves rapidly into a hilarious, exciting and informative fine wine tasting. ‘Players’ are divided into teams ready to take on a selection of six to eight fantastic wines whose identities have been carefully concealed.*

Prompted by a multiple-choice question sheet, complete with pitfalls and booby traps, teams will face five questions on each wine. Jascots’ expert staff will be on hand at all times with a hint, a tip or a total red herring depending on the state of the game. Joker cards are played, red and yellow cards are waved and there’s inevitable cheating, blackmail, skullduggery and forfeits galore.

Frequent ‘tottings up’ of each team’s points build the excitement and finally, amid feverish tension, ‘To the victor the spoils’! Prizes are awarded and to make quite sure the evening continues to flow and the atmosphere remains entirely convivial, we draw the cork on some impressively large bottles of wine, Imperials (6L) or Double Magnums (3L).
