Pavillon des Perrets, Morgon, Beaujolais, France 2010
" Happily (and much like Bordeaux) 2010 in Beaujolais is up there with the 2009 and Pavillon des Perrets gives us an immensely tasty, gorgeously ripe and soft Gamay that oozes smoky cherry flavours with a black plum tone developing in the background on a soft, supple velvety texture. One to enjoy cooler than room temperature over the summer months (I had a bottle on Sunday with BBQed chicken that had been chilling on the fridge for about an hour and it was just beautiful), but, it'll grow into a proper Burgundy-style of wine over the following months and will joyously accompany a hearty winter stew come the time. "
