'La Bascula' Monastrell/Syrah 2005, Bodegas Luzon, Jumilla, Spain
Storming, fresh, summer berry-packed red with a real Mediterranean-spice character about it. Made from Monastrell (alias Mourvèdre) and Syrah, this is modern, juicy, generous and easy drinking, but with a luscious, rewarding texture and some real character.
It is the gem that we have been looking for since we last listed a juicebomb from Jumilla some 5 years ago.
