Lombardy
Lombardy, or Lombardia in Italian, is a viticultural centre of great importance in Northern Italy. Found between the Swiss border and the banks of the River Po, it is larger than many of Italy's other famous wine-producing regions such as Umbria, or Marche and boasts an extremely diverse range of grape varieties and styles.Perhaps the best known DOC in the region is Lugana, which mostly produces high-quality dry white wines from Trebbiano di Lugana.
