Conegliano Valdobbiadene
Nestled between Venice and the Dolomites, this hilly countryside has been producing Prosecco since 1772. Its unique position between the mountains and the sea ensures a mild climate with constant breezes and a long growing season. Since the introduction of the D.O.C. in 1969, this historic production area is renown for producing some of the most concentrated Prosecco wines. Valdobbiadene has steeper slopes that are more difficult to work but offer up the reward of greater exposure to the sun and cocentration to the wine. Grapes are blended from a smaller, more focused growing area between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano in the hills.
