Mosel

The Mosel River flows from France into Germany where it winds and bends for 150 miles merging into the Rhine on its way to the North Sea. For many it has the most classic Riesling wines in the world. Mosel Rieslings range from bone-dry to sweet and each vineyard area produces a wine with its own distinctive personality, but the primary aromas and taste profile are a pale color, light body and a refreshing, fruity acidity. They also often have the slightest hint of effervescence. For a classic fine wine, they have the added advantage of being enjoyable in their youth.
