Napa Valley
Napa Valley is a renowned Californian wine-producing region north of San Francisco, with over 45,000 acres of vineyards sheltered from the Pacific Ocean by the coastal ranges. It is home to some of the most prestigious wineries in California and is distniguished for producing premium wines, most notably its production of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Here the vineyards experience morning fogs and cool afternoon breezes from the San Pablo Bay which help to slowly ripen the grapes.
