Château Tirecul

Claudie and Bruno Bilancini first leased just 9 hectares of the ‘Vineyards of Tirecul’ in 1992, these vineyards are some the of ancient Premier Crus of Monbazillac, unfortunate it had been badly neglected and was in poor condition but through that they could see the immense potential. The old vines still planted on the best hillside of the region with a soil that is free from chemical fertiliser, a true diamond in the rough. Motivated by restoring the domaine to its former glory but also not compromising the quality or the character of the sweet wines. Which happened right from their 1st vintage, the wine received international and national acclaim. This led them to purchase the domaine by 1997 and continue to restore the ancient site.Claudie and Bruno have always had a very respectful approach to the environment and in 2009 they decided to convert in to organic farming and since 2012 all their wines are certified organic.
