Business Development Executive - London

We are looking for a talented, energetic and ambitious sales person to join our amazing team. Your job will be to use our exceptional, exclusive wine range and industry leading service proposition to develop business with new restaurant, hotel & catering clients in London.

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Reports to: Miles Platt (Head of Sales)

Salary: Competitive based on experience with generous commission

Location: Jascots HQ, The Observatory, Old Oak Common Lane NW10 6DX

Start Date: ASAP

The Role: You will be assigned leads and also asked to identify appropriate new prospective clients, make contact, show them some of our delicious wines and negotiate business terms. As business development executive you will be at least partly responsible for the Account Management of the new clients you win. You core tasks will be:

  • Following up with assigned new business leads
  • Making contact with any appropriate new prospective clients
  • Discovering the wants and needs of prospective clients
  • Proposing ways in which we can meet clients’ wants and needs
  • Negotiating appropriate commercial terms
  • Being responsible for fulfilling our promises to clients
  • Maintaining client information in our secure CRM
  • Meeting and exceeding new business, margin and strategic new business targets

Required knowledge, skills and competencies:

  • At least 3 years’ sales experience
  • At least 1 years’ wine trade experience
  • WSET Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • High level of numeracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired knowledge, skills and competencies:

  • A proven track record of converting new business in the London On Trade
  • Experience of populating and managing an active pipeline of prospects
  • Skill in communicating your passion for wine and excellent customer service
  • An in-depth knowledge of the trends and developments in the London On Trade
  • Relationships with key decision makers within the target sector
  • WSET - Intermediate (or equivalent)
