Ontario is often viewed as a region too far north to grow grapes, but this couldn't be further from the truth as it actually shares the same latitude with other well-known wine regions includingTuscany and Oregon. Ontario has three official wine-growing regions, the Niagara Peninsula, the north shore of Lake Erie, and Prince Edward County, although wineries also exist in other regions in Ontario.
