The results are in and Garage Wine Co. have blown the critics away. As the first Chilean wine to score 99 Parker Points, there’s no need to doubt the amazing quality of this fantastic range.

This historic result echoes the passion that has been poured into each bottle of Garage Wine. Husband and Wife Team Derek and Pilar have worked closely with local farmers, arm to arm, to bring life to old vines and processes.

Each wine packs a unique character owing to the dry-farmed fields and the revival of old practices and vines, its no wonder they have been awarded such high scores. See the top three scoring wines below and what the famed critic Luis Gutierrez said about them below.

Truquilemu Carignan, Garage Wine Co, Maule Valley, Chile 2018 (99 points)

“The 2018 Truquilemu Vineyard is more focused, sultry and ethereal than ever. Fermented with more full clusters and a dash of Syrah in the field blend”. This gives the vintage “more flavour and greater depth with more layers that open up with time in the glass”.

Vigno Carignan Field Blend, Garage Wine Co, Maule Valley, Chile 2018 (99 points)

This particular Carignan has “smidgens of País and Monastrell in its field blend”, grown from the same vineyard as the Truquilemu, “along the creek with terrific drainage resulting in low yield and concentration”.

Cru Truquilemu Carinena Field-blend, Garage Wine Co, Maule Valley, Chile 2018 (98 points)

Described as “Truqui with more stuffing”, after 20 harvests comes Garage Wine Co.’s first Cru. Grown from a “small triangular section, with a lower natural yield” the Cru Truquilemu Carinena has a “darker, more brooding personality”.
