Savagnin

Savagnin is a white grape variety mostly grown in the Jura, in eastern France where it is used in the production of Cotes du Jura and Vin Jaune. It is low-yielding and very late-ripening.Wines from the variety tend to display citrus and tropical fruit character, with a fresh acidity and slightly saline finish.
