Monastel de Rioja
A rare native variety of La Rioja, authorized by the D.O.Ca. Rioja in 2007. It is characterized by balsamic aromas on the nose, and refreshing acidity. This variety was rescued from extinction and commercialised by Juan Carlos Sancha and his university colleague, Fernando Martinez de Toda.
