Château Belle-vue
Acquired by Vincent Mulliez in 2004, Château Belle-vue is situated on an exceptional 'terroir' and one with a great history of winemaking.Located in the commune of Macau in south Médoc, the vineyards enjoy a moderate and balanced climate due to the proximity to the Atlantic ocean and the Gironde. The gravelly 'terroir' formed over thousands of years, provides a generous concentration and finesse to the wines, which are relatively rich and complex. Graced with a tradition of quality, Château Belle-vue benefits from the hard work and attention to detail in the vineyards and in the cellar of the entire family, working in the spirit of excellence and in pursuit of excellence. The varieties grown here have been chosen, through research by the family, to express the optimum 'terroir' whilst respecting the winemaking traditions of the region. They grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, but the proportion of Petit Verdot is especially important, representing up to 20% of the blend. Strict selection in the vineyards and hard work in the winery results in a wine of seduction, elegance and complexity, marrying rounded tannins with rich, aromatic fruit.
