Cervoles Celler

This is owned and run by Tomas Cusine, one of the leading names in Costers del Segre (Spanish DO in Lleida, Catalonia). The winery was founded in 1997 with the aim of being the first producer in the region to practice ‘mountain viticulture’ with vineyards at around 750m above sea level, at a time when most wine from the region was basic quality being made on low-lying plains. All three of the wines are certified organic, grapes are hand-harvested and vineyards are low-yielding. The white is a blend of Macabeo, Chardonnay and Albarino, while both the Colores Negre is Grenache / Cabernet / Merlot and the Garnatxa, is, well, Garnacha.
