Cloudy Bay

Established in 1985 by David Hohnen, Cloudy Bay was one of the first wineries to open in Marlborough. Named after a bay that explorer Captain James Cook encountered during his voyage to New Zealand of which he wittily named Cloudy Bay for its misty appearance. Today, Cloudy Bay is one of New Zealand's most prestigious wine producing areas.
