Villa Blanca's philosophy is one of attention to detail and setting and meeting mercilessly high standards. Committed to working towards lifting the reputation of Hungarian wine and of the Neszmély wine region, they produce high-quality wines at every price point.Set on the beautiful banks of the River Danube in Western Hungary, the winery was founded in 1991 by Éva Keresztury, Imre Török, Judit Storcz and Ákos Kamocsay and these founders are still at the helm today, overseeing a team of over 100 people in the tiny Hungarian hamlet of Nezsmely, home to a mere 1,400 people.In the 21 years of their existence, Villa Blanca has grown into a state-of-the-art 21st Century winery operating with the latest technology and is one of the great success stories of the Hungarian Wine Industry - indeed, Chief winemaker Ákos Kamocsay was "Winemaker of the Year" " in Great Britain in 1997, and won the title "Wine Producer of the Year" in 1999 in Hungary. The estate has, in latter years, also boasted the titles of "Estate of the Year" and "Hungary's Premier Estate" respectively.
