Château Lilian-Ladouys
Château Lilian-Ladouys situated in Saint-Esteph in Bordeaux first became popular back in 1654. Then it was under the name of La Doys and only to be changed in the 18th century when the Barre family purchased it, to remaining in the family for more than 150 years. Unfortunately in this time Lilian-Ladouys slipped into a dilapidated state, due to neglect and a lack of funds, where the family were forced to sell some of their vinyards to help pay off debts. Only when Christian and Lilian Thieblot took over as the owners and they began to invest and modernize the Château. In 2007 it was resold again to the Lorenzetti family and they added it to their portfolio. The vineyards themselves are a stunning 45 hectare plot of gravel outcrops and clay-limestone soils with modern and very advanced wine making techniques and careful ageing in oak have returned Château Lilian-Ladouys to their true potential.
