Domain Jean-Louis Chavy

Jean-Louis Chavy is one of the sons of Gerard Chavy but now runs his own Domaine, whereas his brother Alain runs Domaine Gerard Chavy on his own. The two brothers split the family vineyards between but share those of the Bourgogne Blanc, village Puligny-Montrachet and ‘Lieu-dit’ Charmes, as well as Permier Crus Champs Gain, Clavoillons and Folatiers, while Jean-Louis has indepedent control of the Premier Cru Perrieres parcel. The winery was finished in 2004 with the winemaking and ageing carried out in the traditional Burgundian style, and the production of this domaine is 100% white wine. His wines are very impressive and extremely elegant indeed.
