Bertrand Stehelin
Bertrand Stehelin is a fifth generation winemaker who has been making wine for 10 years, his parents have worked the vineyards in and around Gigondas since 1978; today he is working with his parents and sister Caroline in the family Domain Palliére & Pied-Gu, today it covers over 29 hectares. It a stunning family run business that pours all its passion and decades of knowledge into every process from vineyard to bottling!He decided to start his own label in 2004 (Bertrand Stehelin) where he would to develop a wider range of wine and turn mainly to export. Robert Parker called Bertrand Stehelin ‘one of the village’s up and coming young turks’ in 2009. Bertrand Stehelin: “This wine was born from old vines that my ancestors planted in days gone by. Following a manual harvest and a rigorous sorting, the grapes are vinified with the utmost respect of the winemaker traditions”.
