Château de Belleverne

This Château, in the heart of the Moulin â Vent appellation, was bought by the Bataillard family in 1969. When the family took the estate over, the land devoted to cultivating vines was a mere 9ha, with more cows grazing in pastures than grapes ripening on the vine!Unoaked, traditional vinification. Owned and run by Sylvie Bataillard Dalsace, Château de Belleverne was bought by her father, a butcher from Lyon, in 1969, when there were 9ha of vines and lots of cows. The château, based in Chapelle de Guinchay (in the heart of Saint-Amour), started bottling its own wine in 1976, and the vineyards now stretch to 30ha.
