Grenache Blanc / Garnacha Blanca
This is a Mediterranean variety which, as the name suggests is a white berried form of Grenache Noir. Grown in both the Languedoc-Roussillon and across Spain, notably in the DOa of Rioja, where it is known as Garnacha Blanca. More frequently found in blended wines, varietal examples are richly textured with fresh acidity and a mineral saline character that is well suited for pairing with seafood dishes.
