Domaine des Péres de l'Eglise

Domaine des Péres de l'Eglise is a family owned estate in the heart of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, with vineyard sites distributed at various seminal locations throughout the appellation. The Gradassi family have been making wine here for 4 generations, and base their pursuit of great wine on quality in the vineyard above all else - 'the wine is first the grape'.Harvesting is done manually and the fruit is subjected to a pain-staking selection process before making its way into the winery and into the blend.The estate's vineyards consist of chalky subsoils on steep, galet covered slopes. The blend is Grenache dominated and is subjected to 5-7 weeks in vat before being aged in oak for 12 months before bottling.
