Gebr Ludwig

Gerbr Ludwig vineyards are located in the prestigious Thörnich area along the steeping slopes of the Mosel Valley overlooking the river. The estate was founded in 1628 and has since been a family owned and run. In 2005, brothers Meike and Thomas took over the management of the company, bringing a fresh approach, marrying tradition with modern techniques and innovation. Viticulture is certified environmentally friendly, and treated in accordance with the traditional principle of “as much as necessary, as little as possible.” Their vineyards cover 9ha today, growing 80% Riesling (with some vines old as 100 years in age).
