Luna Austral
Luna Austral is well known for their dedication to holistic ecological viticulture, producing distinctive biodynamic wines in the Southern Uco Valley, Argentina. Luna Austral grow mostly Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot in 20 hectares of vineyards, 800+ meters above sea level. The altitude creates a microclimate of hot days with intense sun exposure followed by cool dry nights, ultimately attributing freshness and purity of fruit to the wines.The team’s commitment to pioneering sustainability led them to being the first winery in Argentina to be fully Demeter certified. In 2015, winemaker Alvaro Espinoza was recognised by Decanter as one of the top 50 most influential winemakers in the world.
