Tasting Notes
Schloss Johannisberg Rosalack Auslese Riesling 2021. Lightly botrytized, the 2021 Rosalack (750ml) embodies the precision and heritage of one of the Rheingau’s most historic estates. After an exceptionally warm growing season, grapes were hand-harvested between mid-September and early October. Fermentation took place entirely in stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by extended maturation on fine lees until bottling in April 2024. The result is a poised and textured Riesling that reflects Schloss Johannisberg’s hallmark balance of concentration, freshness, and elegance. Sweet yet restrained, it carries a lively saline lift and fine mineral tension.
