Tasting Notes
Alphonse Mellot Edmond Blanc 2022. This white is produced from old La Moussière vines, ranging from 40 to 87 years old and is certified Organic and Biodynamic. 60% of the wine is fermented in new French oak whilst the remainder is in a mixture of first and second use barrels. The wine is aged on the fine lees and regularly pumped over for between 10-14 months. The result is rich and majestic with great depth. Flavours of honey, sweet lemon, vanilla spice and freshly baked brioche. This is then followed by complex aromas of lime, menthol and spice.
