Tasting Notes
Roche Costamagna Barbera d'Alba 2022. This 100% Barbera from chalky and clay soils of Piemonte shows a deep ruby hue in colour. The 2022 vintage experienced a very hot season, losing 20-30% of production to burning yet still coming out on top as an elegant and precise red. Being aged in French oak barrels, expect to pick up a hint of smokiness with a lovely medium body and refreshing palate with nice acidity and no tannins. This Barbera is both vibrant and fresh and can age for up to 8 years.
