Wakefield Wines Masterstroke Cabernet Sauvignon 2019. Elegant and expressive, this Cabernet is harvested from Coonawarra’s cooler-climate vineyards, subject to Southern Ocean breezes and cooling nights. On the nose, entwining aromas of dark chocolate, blackcurrant, and mint weave seamlessly with cedar-tinged tobacco and a wisp of violet, directly emerging from careful maturation in fine-grained French oak. On the palate, ripe plum and cassis core are framed by a stony minerality and soft, poised tannins, bringing spicy hints of clove and mocha to a sustained finish of tobacco and mint chocolate. It is a refined, cellar-worthy expression that balances power and poise beautifully.
