Les Cris Sancerre, Daniel Chotard, Sancerre, Loire Valley, France 2020

Loire, France

CHOTARDLESCRIS20

Tasting Notes

Domaine Daniel Chotard Les Cris Sancerre 2020. This wine comes from the vineyard of Le Champ des Cris with its distinctive pebbly limestone and marl soil. It is fermented with lees contact in acacia barrels, highlighting the chalky specifics for 8 months, then transferred to tank for a further 4 months. Now with 4-5 years in bottle, the mineral and chalky freshness is becoming accentuated, alongside its counter-balancing acidity and pear ripeness and citrus zest.
