Wakefield Wines 'The Visionary' Cabernet Sauvignon 2018. Created to honour founder Bill Taylor Senior and his ambition to craft world-class wines. Inspired by Bordeaux’s long-lived Cabernets, this wine is produced only in exceptional vintages and in very limited quantities. It represents a pure expression of Clare Valley terroir and the winemakers’ dedication to excellence, aiming to rival Australia’s finest and stand among the best globally. This is rich and multi-layered, combining classic blackcurrant, dark cherry, and varietal mint with long, fine tannins for an elegant structure. The finish is poised and powerful, reflecting its potential for greatness. The wine aged for 24 months in premium French oak, with 40% new and the remainder in seasoned barrels, giving this wine depth and complexity, with cellaring potential of up to 20 years under ideal conditions.
